Assalamu Alaikum. Do you know what backbiting is?

Narrated Abu Hurairah: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked: What is backbiting? He said, "You say something about your brother that makes him unhappy." Again the question is, what if what I say is present in my brother? He said, "If what you say is in him, then you have slandered him." And if what you say is not in him, then you have slandered him.            (Sunan Abu Dawood, Hadith No. 484.)

In the Qur'an, Irshad explains the consequences of this backbiting: Don't go for less than your full potential.

“And do not gossip with one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You will surely dislike it. And fear Allah. Surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (Surat al-Hujurat: 12)

Both the gossiper and the gossiper are guilty of the same crime: On one visit, there was a poor servant with Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) and Hazrat Umar (RA), who always served them. Arriving at the destination they both fell asleep and after a while, he also fell asleep without making food for both of them. They both woke up and said, this man is very sleepy. They woke him up and sent him to the Prophet (peace be upon him). He appealed to him, O Messenger of Allah! Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) and Hazrat Umar (RA) greeted you and asked for some food. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'They both ate and were satisfied.' They both came to him and prayed, O Messenger of Allah! What did we eat today? He said, "You have eaten the meat of that servant today (gossiped) and I can see the color of the meat in your teeth." They both heard this and said, O Messenger of Allah! Forgive us our faults and pray for us in the court of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Forgiveness of Allaah will not suffice for you, let the servant ask forgiveness for you in the Court of Allaah. (Addurrul Mansure quoting Dia Al-Muqaddasi, Shaadiat in Alchemy).

It has been narrated in the hadith, "He who listens to gossip is also one of the gossipers." (Talabani)

Many hadiths have been narrated to explain the awfulness of backbiting. Irshad said:

 الغيبة أشد من الزناء 

"Gossiping is worse than adultery." [Meshkat, Bayhaqi]

Narrated Abu Barzah Al-Aslami: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: O you who believe only with your mouth but faith has not entered your heart! Do not backbite the Muslims and do not look for faults. Because of those who find their faults, Allah will also find their faults. And if Allah finds fault with anyone, He will humiliate him in his house.(Sunan Abu Daud, Hadith No. 480).


Narrated Anas Ibn Malik: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: On the night of Mi'raj, I was passing by a people whose nails were made of copper and with which they constantly scratched their faces and chests. . I said, O Gabriel! Who are these? He said, "These are the people who eat human flesh, that is, gossip about people and attack human dignity." And hurt their dignity. Sunan Abu Daud, Hadith No. 48.

Hadrat Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Whoever humiliates his (Muslim) brother for a sin for which he has repented, this shameful person will not die until then. Unless he is involved in that sin. - Tirmidhi, Muntakhab Hadith (316 Ekram Muslim)

Explaining the awfulness of backbiting, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that which is in Mishkat Sharif, backbiting is a more serious sin than Zina. The Companions asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): O Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: If a person repents to Allaah after committing adultery, Allaah will accept it.   But as long as the person backbiting is the person whose Allah will not forgive until you forgive. The roster also uses unveiled women and numerous obscene videos in the video which makes you blindfolded.

"আশুরা"

                              "আশুরা" ইসলামিক পঞ্জিকা অনুযায়ী মুহররম এর দশম দিনকে আশুরা বলা হয়। এটি ইসলাম ধর্ম অনুসারীদের জন্য একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিন। সুন্নি মতানুযায়ী ইহুদীরা মুসার বিজয়ের স্মরণে আশুরার দিন সাওম বা রোজা পালন করত। তবে শিয়া মত আশুরার পূর্ব ইতিহাসকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করে এবং তারা আশুরাকে কারবালার বিষাদময় ঘটনার স্মরণে পালন করে। এই দিনটি শিয়া মুসলমানদের দ্বারা বেশ আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে পালন করা হয়ে থাকে। এ উপলক্ষে তারা বিভিন্ন ধরনের মিছিল, মাতম ও শোকানুষ্ঠান আয়োজন করে। তবে একটি ক্ষুদ্র অংশ ততবীর পালন করে থাকে। শিয়া সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ অঞ্চলগুলোতে এসব অনুষ্ঠান চোখে পড়ার মত। যেমন- পাকিস্তান, আফগানিস্তান, ইরান, ইরাক, লেবানন ও বাহরাইন। ‘আশুরা’ শব্দটি আরবি ‘আশারা’ শব্দমূল থেকে নির্গত। অর্থ দশ। শরিয়তের পরিভাষায় মহররমের দশম দিবসকে ‘আশুরা’ বলে অভিহিত করা হয়। হিজরি বর্ষের সূচনা হয় এই মহররম মাসের মাধ্যমে। ‘মহররম’ শব্দের অর্থ পবিত্রতম ও মর্যাদাপূর্ণ। ইসলামপূর্ব জাহেলি যুগে এ মাসকে বিশেষ মর্যাদা ও সম্মানের চোখে দেখা হতো। ...
